How would you go about asking a bf/gf to have sex?

I was wondering how you guys and girls would go about asking your bf or gf to have sex? I never had sex myself but i'am ready and i think once i start dating again and we are both ready i will make a move but i need some advice of how you guys and girls would ask.

Just be open one day and while talking in general, ask for her thoughts on sex, if there is a positive reaction, ask her if she would

firstly i'd have to get a BF again then i would let him pick but i'd wait at least 6 months

Maybe start out kissing and stuff, then maybe get a little more passionate (not too forceful though). Ask "Is this ok?" or "Shall we keep going?" perhaps every few stages.

I've never had sex, but I'd imagine this would be acceptable. If she says, "Can we slow down a bit?" then she's not ready yet.

Each relationship is different and it depends on what type of relationship it is -- hookup -- Friends with Benefits --- a committed relationship.

Personally -- sex would be a series of steps and wouldn't likely happen for weeks to months after we began dating. I'd toss a guy to the curb if he got pushy or pulled out a condom IF we haven't discussed our expectations of each other being intimate. Simply because I want to discuss our boundaries doesn't mean that another couple should. Yet -- I do see the issue of sex being discussed prior to the first time to determine if both are ready.
