It seems that VT doesn't enforce image credit rules. I see so many images in sigs, avatars, prof. pics, etc. That are from the internet with no credit to the owner. I understand image sharing in forums as it links back to the original image, but the others have no way of credit. I know we have many artists that HAVE made their images, but there is a large amount of those that have gotten them from the internet. I know this is a "Why'd ya bring THAT up!?!" moment for many, but I strongly believe in respecting the rights of the owners of images.
So does VT enforce these rules at all?

I don't think this is a problem at all.
It would be like me requesting every member who ever used a sig made by me to credit me and the artist's whose resources went into creating the image; furthermore, as long as they aren't claiming the image to be their own work then there isn't a real problem.
When users start claiming other people's work as their own, then something like this should be enforced. On top of that, this would be the biggest headache in the history of headaches for moderators. The number of "gray areas" in a rule like this are just ridiculous. If you enforce it, then someone will bitch about having to credit or remove an image they like when I don't have to because I made mine in Photoshop. My sig, for example, contains work from Hayao Miyazaki and several other artists who work in Cinema 4D, yet I don't credit them because it's a big waste of space in my sig.

Well unless you're claiming the artwork to be your own e.g. saying you made it, then I see no problem with taking images off of google.
For example my moving animated bear with heart I took off a random website that provided animated avatars.
My signature was made by Mike (ImCoolBeans) and I've never claimed any of these to made by myself.
If I got the image form a sig shop on VT then I'd credit the person in my signature but since people have closed it down then I took it out because people would wonder why they've stopped.
Honestly unless someone claims they made the image when they didn't then I don't think its worth trying to force the "Credit the owner" rule.
In fact I don't even think VT has such a rule but yeah....
