Age realised: Seventh grade I called myself bi, eighth grade I was completly confused, nitnth grade I finally accepted it.
How you realised: I didn't know it was possible to be gay, but I one day just realized I acted differently around attractive guys.
How did you accept it: I stuggled throughout eighth grade, but eighth grade is when I learned how to not care what people think so it wasn't too hard.
How did your friends accept it: They didn't care
How did your family accept it: Never told them, but I think they know

What did you know about homosexuality before realising? I saw two girls kissing on TV but I never really thought anything of it. I didn't know it was possible to love the same gender.

Would you change your orientation if you could? Right now, no. I can't tell you how I'd answer tomorrow though.

How you realised: I had this massive crush on a girl and I thought I was mental, however, I then realised how attractive girls were.
How did you accept it: It took a long while, especially because my friends would tell me I was gay before I even said anything, so I dealt with that first and then the rest just became natural. However, it did take me a few years to finally be okay with it all.
How did your friends accept it: They already knew so that wasn't an issue.
How did your family accept it: My dad is fine with it, however, my mum not so much. She chooses to ignore it.

What did you know about homosexuality before realising? I knew about it, but I didn't really have an opinion of it.
How do you feel about your sexuality? I'm 100% fabulous.

If yes, how often due to sexuality? It was mainly about my sexuality.

Would you change your orientation if you could? I used to want to, tried everything I could to change it, however, I realised that I couldn't so I accepted it.

Age realized: Realized I was different around 7. Identified the difference as gay around 12.
How you realized: I wasn't like other boys. I wasn't interested in what interested others. As I got older, I found myself almost polar to many boys and only hung with girls, but not because I liked them, rather because I was more like them.
How did you accept it: I accepted it from the beginning really. I knew who I was. I was okay with who I was. It would've been easier to be straight, but that's not who I am.
How did your friends accept it: I came out at 18, after leaving high school. I went to school in a small town where I was the only gay student, so coming out wouldn't've done any good but augment unwanted attention/harassment. Most my friends I have now have only know me as gay. The few I have from high school either are super supportive or don't really acknowledge it (but don't fight it).
How did your family accept it: 100% on board.

Are you religious? Not anymore.
If yes, religion: Formerly Christian. Currently agnostic.
If yes, how accepting was your congregation? I came out after I had a falling out with God. Therefore, the congregation doesn't see me much, so they don't really care, it seems.

What did you know about homosexuality before realizing? Not much. People called me "gay" as an insult before I had any concept of what gay was. I saw it as something negative to be called, but not a bad thing entirely.
How do you feel about your sexuality? Loud and proud.
Have you ever been bullied? During high school, yeah.
If yes, how often? Pretty often. Multiple times a week.
If yes, how often due to sexuality? Every.

Would you change your orientation if you could? No.
Has your orientation effected your mood? It did in the past. Nowadays it doesn't.

How did you accept it: I just said to myself, If you are you are, you can't change that, and accepted it.
How did your friends accept it: The ones that know so far accept me for who I am and don't care at all.

Age realised: ever since I can remember I was attracted to guys sexually (emotionally came a bit later 10 maybe so probably realised then)
How you realised: a neighbour a little bit older than me used to talk about how hot girls were, and what he thought of when he wanked and I was really confused because I only ever thought of guys like that but I must of known it wasn't 'Normal' because I never said anything.
How did you accept it: I think only like two years ago after watching Mathew Mitcham talking about coming out I was like I'm not the only one, and it made me feel so much better.
How did your friends accept it: I'm not out, because I live in a small town coming out wouldn't exactly help anything. But going on what my friends think about gay people I think they wouldn't care, intact they would probably be happy (they're all girls), pretty sure everyone knows anyway lol.

Would you change your orientation if you could? This probably sounds shallow and offensive but yes, I just really hate the fact that I have to deal with all this extra stress/bullying while trying complete school and go better, I also know some of my family simply will not accept me.

How you realised: IDK, I just knew deep inside.
How did you accept it: Couldn't lie to myself any more.
How did your friends accept it: Only told my best friend. He was supportive and reassured me he accepted me and that I shouldn't make a big deal about it, however he also said he never wanted to talk about personal stuff.
How did your family accept it: Haven't told them. I know the day I do will be the last day I will see them though.

What did you know about homosexuality before realising? That it was a horrible, disgusting thing to be that should be hidden.
How do you feel about your sexuality? I accept myself but I am still not completely comfortable in my skin.

If yes, how often due to sexuality? Since nobody other than my best friend knows, not much. A couple people thought I was 2 years ago and bullied me nonstop for it though, made my life a living hell.

What did you know about homosexuality before realising? That it was where people of the same gender find each other attractive and have sex. I was homophobic when I first saw what it was, but then I didn't see it as something bad after a few years.

I was having self-conflict and denial about it for years, and thought something was wrong with me at first.

If yes, how often? Mostly in 1st and 2nd year, every few days. I put up this psychological wall against insults since 5th class and it made no real effect on me since then, apart from being a nuisance. Stopped in 4th year.

How you realised: I had a crush on my friend and I also found girls hot with clothes or in their underwear.
How did you accept it: I don't know I just knew that it was me and I couldn't change and I guess I have always been accepting of myself.
How did your friends accept it: I only told two but then took it back, but they were supportive.
