Would you buy one?
If so, which make/model and why?
When I start a family I think I'd get a Chrysler Town and Country because we've rented some before, and they're actually really nice, compared to other minivans I've been in before.

I'd never buy a minivan. They usually look terrible, are very slow, hard to clean, and huge thus hard to drive.
If I had to get one, I'd get a Mercedes R Class, since it offers some style and sportiness to the otherwise boring minivan.

I hate mini-vans. In my opinion, they're all super ugly and get shit gas mileage -- well the 4 cylinder ones are better.

I would never buy a van unless I end up having like 6 kids.
I would only every consider Toyota Sienna V6s and the Honda Odyssey. They're the best looking of the lot, are actually pretty quick, and don't handle quite like a bag of potatoes. And the Odyssey has a built in vacuum, which is just awesome.

I hate minivans. All of them. If I had 6 kids, I'd just get a Chevy Suburban or their other model that looks like the Suburban.

There in no way in hell that I would waste my money by having six kids. 2 is all you need. I surely wouldnt spend that money on a WOW, six cylindar minivan. Wow, Im impressed. --I have a reputation here, and I will never loose my balls and have to buy a minivan. Disgusting. Instead I would rather have purchase one of these.

Or, the 0-60 in 4.8 sec. Mercedes-Benz GL 63 AMG, those treehuggers can kiss my 3 point star when I pass them in their crappy Prius...http://image.motortrend.com/f/roadtests/suvs/1205_2013_mercedes_benz_gl63_amg_first_look/41967549/2013-Mercedes-Benz-GL63-AMG-front-view.jpg

The only minivan I would ever consider buying is a Chrysler Town and Country or maybe it's sibling, the Dodge Grand Caravan. They are the most attractive and stylish vans BY FAR, especially with the T&C S (sport edition) coming out soon if it's not out already. The Odysseys are blah, Siennas aren't very attractive, and the Nissan quest is god awful. Chrysler invented the minivan, so it's only fair that they deserve the top spot, in my opinion.

I know the tree huggers won't like it, but I think I'll end up more of a 10 MPG SUV kind of guy.

I'm sure the Europeans on here don't get our "bigger is better" mentality.
Kinda funny, I have a family friend who lives in the Netherlands. She says it costs $5,000 to get a drivers license their. They don't like cars in general; she was kinda shocked when she saw my uncles Cadillac Escalde ESV!

That's a lot of money for a DL... And nice choice with your uncle's ESV! Couldn't have made a better choice. "Go big or go home" is what I like to say. :D

Does the Chrysler Grand Voyager count as a minivan? or does it have to be the Ford Excursion type of minivan? If it does count, i'd buy the Chrysler.

Grand Voyager counts. :-) I think Chrysler calls their van the "Town and Country" here in the US and uses the "Grand Voyager" in other countries. Either way, it should still be the same van. :P

Yes, that is a mini van, in the U.S. an Excursion is a SUV. They use such strange termonology in foreign countries. I hate the way all minivans look so I would rather have that Excursion; even though they dont make them anymore... ) :http://photos.ecarlist.com/T9/0E/P2/l3/ku/rG/UB/Sp/Vl/ef/fA_640.jpg

I do like the Excursion but I'm not a fan of those huge diesel engines fitted in a car.

Don't know, unless it's a real truck (18 wheeler) it should be able to rev higher than 2.5k rpm.
