I love Classical music, but I kinda take a little offense to you calling it "proper" music. It's like saying anything non-Classical is not 'real' music.

No, I'm sure you'll find a lot of people here listen to classical music.
I myself am particular to Bach, Orff, Grieg, and the 'well known' composers such as Mozart, Beethoven etc when I am in the mood for classical.

Your use of the word 'proper' in regard to music however is wrong in my opinion. Music is subjective to taste, leaving it impossible to define any music as 'proper' music, in my opinion.

I play violin and piano, so i've gotten my fair share. I like classical, mainly Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven. and then there's Pachelbel's Canon in D.

I grew up listening to classical music. And my friends say I'm weird just because people like us who listen to proper music are the minority! (￣◇￣; ）

Just to clarify on proper. I meant that some modern music tends to be very 'narrow'. I just feel that music as it was written by the great composers is "properly" written, while some current music is very much trend following. No offense in tended everyone.
