What would you do with your power? Would you help fix the problems with the environment? Would you try and fix corrupt governments? Bring peace to the world? Stop all senseless violence? Etc. etc.

I would probably step up and try and eliminate corruption in government, especially the U.S. gov't. (state, local, and nat'l.) and I'd also put more of an effort into catching criminals. I'd do my best to stop terrorism and to help out in Africa. I would strive for peace but probably never achieve it. My main goal would be to make the world a better place. (Not sure if this is a debate, but I really have no clue where else I would put this) :D

I wouldn't rule the world because there's no such thing. Worldwide dictatorship just isn't a feasible concept.

If I was Canada's PM

I'd adhere to and create laws to enforce Kyoto

I'd decriminalize pot but I'd put actions in to control it for public safety sake (make sure its not cut with anything, quality, etc..) It would be sold at compedative prices to centers controlled by the gov all profits going towards funding of social programs

I'd take a hint from Ontario and get rid of privatized liquor stores and replace them with gov run ones where profits again would go towards social programs

I'd take a hint from France and create a public daycare system

I'd remove all government caps on creations of renewable energy and encourage development with tax cuts to any company specializing in renewable energy and I'd increase the taxes on those that don't

I'd take a note from California and set emission standards all car companies would have to oblige with by a certain date in order to continue selling cars in Canada
Those with hybrid, hydrogen or electric cars would have tax cuts and free parking etc.. to encourage the average fam to switch

I'd dramatically increase our military presence in Canada's north with heavy ice breaker class destroyers and nuclear powered subs (have to be nuke to go under that much ice for such long periods) I'd build a massive training base so our soldiers could learn how to survive and defend in such a harsh environment

I would build a massive state of the art scientific observatory and research lab on
Ellesmere Island to monitor the climate and global warming

I'd increase our private sector presence in the north by looking into oil reserves, diamonds etc... In Canada's north

I'd pull us out of Kandahar

I'd look at France and try to adapt a similar plan for university's to create programs that would drastically reduce costs to students to encourage them to further their education to help Canada compete in the global economy

I would look at ways to lower the Canadian dollar because such a drastic climb combined with the US housing market has caused a great amount of stress on Canadian industry's epically that of soft wood lumber

I would look at increasing export trade relations with China, Japan, South Korea, etc..

I would create a sub division of the RCMP that could specialize on pedophiles and the sites they use

I would offer huge grants and loans to provincial governments and cities to increase and upgrade public transportation (subways, street cars, buses, rapid transit, etc...)
