I always use Steam. It provides such good chat functionality (other than IRC, which I use all day every day ;p) and it lets you buy games.
Love it!

I have it, and use it but I just bought one game from there. It's not like I have a 100-game library, I usually play the same games (Simulators, Baby :P ) so I didn't have the urge or need to buy more for now. I really don't like the way the games are sold, but it does the work for me.

I'm on Steam 24/7. Steam is the god of gaming services and any who claim otherwise shall be burned at the virtual stake along with their PC and Smartphone.

I like it for the chat options so I can join groups, and the easier updating of games but overall I just download the standalone games.

Steam is great because it's competitor (Origin) is the most horrific thing on the face of the galaxy.

I wouldn't say Origin is a "competitor" sure they're trying to get big from the same ideals. Most of their members made accounts because it's required to actually play some games. Truthfully I doubt Origin will ever really be a true competitor to Steam because Steam is an internet juggernaut that's fulled by games and the internet's odd love for Gabe.

I use Steam. The only concern is it is a HUGE memory hog and it is buggy as a mofo :P

I have it but I don't like the fact that you have to wait 6hour to download a game. But I guess that's life.

Since all my games on PC have to have Steam to activate, yes. But I love it to death. It's a wonderful distribution platform.

Exactly. Plus Steam sales. So yeah, go Steam!
I also recommend Humble Bundle for people looking for great deals on games.
