Looking for any advice VT can give me ....

Last night i stayed over at a mates house and while i was there they had a bit of a family crisis cos his aunt went into hospital, they were worried it was a heart attack. It turns out they said it was just angyna and that was much better, big sigh of relief.

He was okay at the time (and we had a very interesting evening, thats another story), but today he was really distracted all day and when i asked him he said he was worried about his aunt, and what if it got worse or if she had a heart attack in the future and then how would you know, people might think 'oh it's no big deal' and ignore it thinking its just the same again ....

I'm sure he's just worrying a lot and under stress, and so on, and it will get better. But my question is: has anyone got any ideas for how i could cheer him up and get his mind off it?

Have you ever been in that situation before where u really want to help someone feel better but aren't sure what to do? What did u do? Did it work?

Thanks VTers!!
