My question is if anyone else lives with chronic migraines and what helps you get rid or relieve the pain? I've had them since I was 12 years old and I've been to to many doctors to count. The medicine that I'm on now only cuts how many I get a month down just a little.

This isn't really a mental illness.

Did you try changing your lifestyle? Like your diet, wear you wear, the deodorant, colonge, wall colors etc, do you know what exactly triggers your migranes? Drink more water and do yoga

I had them. They were triggered by stress I had in my old school. I solved.thek by popping ibubruphen. That took care of the migraine at the momnt. But it went back a week later, as usual. I got rid of them by sleeping also. Although I think it would be hard for you to solve it by sleeping. Try applying hot towels on the back side of your neck to make the blood vessels wider. If you live stressfuly, find the source of the stress and remove it. I did that by changing schools, yeah the second is a heck lot farther, but it is worth not to struggle with migraine attacks.

I know a lotish about migraine treatment because some of my family members have issues.
Do you have an ice wrap? You should consider getting one of those for headache relief.
As for preventing them, you should find what triggers your migraines. Is it stress, lack of sleep, abnormal sleep patterns, skipping meals, etc? Keep a headache diary and pay attention to your sleep and eating habits along with stress level. Also, certain food items and things found in food contribute to migraines. One example is MSG - which is often found in Chinese food. Look up a list of foods that cause/contribute to migraines, and figure out if eating a lot of these foods could be contributing to your migraines.

This is very good advice. Migraines (if you have them somewhat regularly) are likely triggered by a certain substance/lack of a certain substance. For example, I know those who have developed an abnormally high tolerance to caffeine, and they get headaches if they go too long without coffee. As the post I quoted says, MSG is also very common in causing severe headaches/migraines. It's found in extremely oily foods usually, and goes by a few different names on ingredient labels (a Google search should be able to give you a full list).
If you still can't figure what's causing these headaches, it would be best to talk to your doctor/GP. There are prescription medications for migraines (I believe one is MaxAlt) that could also be considered if necessary.
