Can they see where I live? I know the Admins can see approx. where I live from the IP address, but can you guys see my exact location? I'm actually because tit pertains to other sites with the similar developer and formate as this.

no. despite the fact you have location services on or off, websites like VT and VT do not use that. they only collect your ip address, and even that is not accurate. go whois your IP address and it will show that your IP is located in a city that is probably an hour or so away from you. location services applies more to a website like facebook, twitter, & google.

Have you got something to hide?
It's okay, but no, we don't directly obtain it. It's pretty easy to figure out, and if you look here (http://geoiptool.com/en/) you can see what every website you visit -- not just this one, mind you -- can figure out about where you live.

But we haven't got a malicious agenda. Other websites specialise in buying, selling, and crunching that data to establish a very accurate profile of you, which is subsequently resold for large sums of money. And they have got their own agendas. But that's for another time.

According to what you gave us Matrix, I live 30 miles away from where i should!
so no. IP addresses can be accurate or not.

Well it's not a guarantee. But for me it's sometimes shockingly accurate.

I've said some personal stuff asking for advice on another site like this and I kept asking the same question so they've banned me. Now all that personal stuff will stay up there and I can't edit it out.
