I have it. Anyone else? I'm ADHD too. But the Asperger's is more of a problem in life. Asperger's is high functioning autism. It makes you a social misfit.

I Do. Its Hard & Makes It Really Hard To Make Friends. It Also Makes You Stronger & Resilient To Peoples Opinion Of You! 19 Years (Undiagnosed) Proves It!

I have possible aspergers. By that I mean, I've been told I might have it but I haven't been properly checked.

I have it, and so does a couple of people at my school. It's weird, because my brother has "low-functioning" autism, if you will.

Asperger's isn't something you can have for 19 years undiagnosed.

I Went 19 Without A Diagnosis! My Mom Has Depression, So She Never Noticed. Dad Was Looking After Mom All The Time! So I No-One Noticed I Was Autistic. So, :P

You can't be sure you have something until it is properly diagnosed. You can't say you've been undiagnosed for 19 years when no doctor has proved it, because it has to be a third party that performs the diagnosis, not self-diagnosis. It could be you have traits of autism, but it needs to be verified by an authority figure.

Ah right. Yeah anyone can be diagnosed at any age. It's just a lot harder as an adult as symptoms become less apparent in adults depending on the severity.

I do. I was diagnosed. I have social problems, some learning disabilities, anxiety. It's hard to make friends when people think you are strange. . .

I've not got Apergers but mild (though I'm classed as mediocre) autism so i thought it would be better to put in here. Though my autism is bad and a lot hve to go to specialist schools with it I've been put in main stream school because my social skills are a bit better at those types of things now. I also have to go to mainstream school in England because English is my second (though propably not that after Polish and Russian) and therefore they wanted me to develop it further. If any does want to talk about it though you can because I will try an understand.

High functioning Asperger's here buddy, what a wonderful bloody life... In all seriousness though I find it harder because I'm the vocal punching bag of the school. Every bully knows my name. But I go to a grammar school so it's probably harder elsewhere... I'm quite depressive anyway, and I try to stand up for the minority people (yknow, gays, other aspies, people who need help, we're odd, get the ruddy hell over it) so that helps when you're one of the only supportive person there, and "gay" is the most common insult...

But I digress. All I'm saying is school life is crud, but I must have an education to get the career I wish for, so I'll fight for rights in my spare time...

Edit: It is PC to say "gays" right, I don't want to offend anyone by not saying "gay people" Sorry. :D
