Ok so yestarday evening I was lookimg through my phone and I got this kik message from this random person that I didnt even know. the message had a link to a site on the internet, so I clicked on the link (me not knowing what it was) it took me straight to a video (btw all this was on my phone) and it was a 13 min video of child porn, all of them under 10, I saw like 3-4 mins of the video and thinking to myself who would record elementary school kids doing gay sex and gay child porn. I was surprised and discusted. so I deleted the link the message the history and all that and now im scared that I might get busted by the authoritys because It looks like if I was watching child porn. what do u guys think might happen? and do I have to worry? im pretty scared that the fbi will arrest me or put me as a sex offender for watching a video that I didnt even know whatbit was about. and srry if this thread doesnt belong here in this section of vt.

Just tell them your story.

I don't think you will necessarily get in trouble if you explain what happened. It was probably a bad move to delete that stuff, but they can still retrieve it to make sure you're telling the truth. It'd be safer to tell them now yourself rather than seem suspicious if they do happen to think you were watching it intentionally.

Thanks guys :) im just really worried because after what I saw, I looked up on the internet and I saw with todays technology they can bust anybody now easily. what if they bust me and not the bad person. btw I dont the persons kik that sent me the video so idk how they can bust him.

hopefully this teaches you not to click on links sent to you from random people you don't know.

They can actually track all messages/links sent and received from your mobile device. Therefore, by retrieving that message you received, they can track the sender and bust him. Isn't technology great? ^_^

I think you'll be fine, and I do not think you will have problems. In the future never click on links from folks that you don't know because it will have the kind of thing you had seen.

I am not sure what kind of phone you have, but you need to remember that smart phones can get malware, too. What you need to do is wipe your telephone clean and restore it from new. Also, if you use your smartphone to check anything like e-mail, Facebook, etc., then you need to reset all of those passwords at home and not on your telephone. Until you can get your telephone cleaned up and reset avoid going onto anything that requires a password.

If you still have the e-mail, then you can report the person who sent it to you to the police. That way you will not get in trouble because you did everything you could to stop the child porn.
