While I'm not certain that I'll be having sex immediately, my girlfriend and I are at the point that we're both open to the possibility and I feel that the responsible thing to do would be to be prepared. However, I have no idea how to select what kind of condoms to buy having no prior experience/personal preferences. Should I discuss this with her or something? I don't think we want anything crazy or fancy, just something reliable that gets the job done, but even basic options like lubricated versus unlubricated are too much for me to know what or how to decide on...

Condom rundown:
Ribbed has bumps on it for girls pleasure
Lubricated helps you go faster with less friction so you can usually do it longer
Heated ones make it hotter on your dick
Trojan magnums are a little thicker than most others and are the most reliable
Trojan sensations are really thin for a condo less feel, still work well

Hope this helps

When you buy condoms don't overthink the issue. There are so many different kinds of condoms out there, and most of different varieties are just marketing ploys. For your purposes, just go with the standard lubricated condom. Don't use unlubricated condoms because those are not very comfortable to use. Trojans are among the best out there, but Durex and other brands are fine, too. Don't let things like "ribbed, heated, Magnum, etc." confuse you. Just go with the standard lubricated condom because that is all you need. Unless you have a nine inch penis I doubt very much you will need something like a Magnum condom which are for guys who are genuinely big down there or who think they are that big.

Feedback is important before having sex, and make sure you talk to your partner about it. Make sure you both know what to do just in case things go wrong with sex (condom breaking, one of you developing problems down there, missed periods, etc.), and make sure you both have access to healthcare on your own. Make sure your girlfriend is on birth control or can get access to Plan B. Also, make sure you both are clean especially if one or both of you are not virgins. More than anything, you got to make sure you both can afford things like condoms, birth control, and medical care for sexual problems. Also, make sure your girlfriend has a gynecologist since she is thinking about getting sexually active because that kind of doctor can really help her because things down there for girls is a lot more complicated than it is for guys.

yeah, condom troubles :) happy memories haha! remember:
- pick one according to the size of your dick, i.e. classic size, not some XXL version so it won't slide off. Do not buy from some hidden shop (u don't want old condom past its date) but from supermarket etc
- don't use some fancy bullshit like dots and whatnot just buy a regular one but not ultra-thin so you won't come instantly! this is what many guys forget. a beginner should save some pleasure and not come after 5 minutes. So, Durex extra safe is a safe bet haha
- use lube if ur girl is not wet enough. not silicon based as it melts the condom! use water based like durex

do this and u are off to some great fucking haha :)
