Hmmm we had a similar project from biology. My opinion:

1. I have no idea, my aunt and uncle never had that problem raising their tomatoes. Just keep them comfortable? IDK.

2. When is food like that helping, when it has a termination gene, which makes the seed usable for one harvest only, while harvested seeds are useless. There have been reports of diseases breaking out, due to poisoning caused by GMO.

3. People with half a brain will realize that it is bad, and massive riots will break out probably, or just plain and simple, the people would not buy those products
