Heroism Dilemma

I posed this question to a friend of mine, and I was wondering what everyone's opinions on it would be.
Say you had found out that 10 people were infected/zombies (Clichéd I know) but nobody else knew, and they wouldn't believe you, would you kill and burn these "Zombies", preventing the apocalypse, at the cost of being given a (I know a death sentence wouldn't be given in reality but anyway) death sentence for murdering and burning 10 people, would you do it? Or would you leave these "infected" alone, and leave the world to deal with it?
I would be interested to hear your thoughts and opinions on this.

Good question. I'd have to say I'd have to put down the infestation, yet at the same time I'd try and bring back proof, whether it would be video, pictures, DNA, ect, to maybe have the second guessing themselves.

Huh, I haven't actually got a clue. I know it's all hypothetical but still my main problem with this is why am I the only one to know? I cannot think of any possible situation where that would be a problem. Also, wouldn't it be fairly obvious they were zombies?

I don't think I'd kill them, I see myself as one of those people surviving a zombie apocalypse, but I wouldn't do nothing either. What I might do would be to call someone equipped to deal with an infection?

I'll destroy the infection before it spreads, simple as that. And bring back proof.

If I were faced with a death penalty and if this ever happens in a time where I can hopefully have an option of exile from Earth, I will gladly take the Exile from Earth.

Well, although in reality, someone else would know, the question is asking whether you would save humanity from an apocalypse and face death, or just say: "Screw it, bring on the apocalypse bitches!" xD. But yeah, I just wanted to know whether people would be a hero or not.

But in the question the only two options are: Kill the infected, preventing the apocalypse but receive a death sentence, or let the world go to waste, with no death sentence. So, which one?

i would never kill someone, an infection wouldnt change that.
with something like this, i dont think it would become that big. i imagine that if they became zombies i think they would be dealt with pretty quickly.

I generally plan to be untracable (no registered home, ID, driver's licence) so I would be hard, if not impossible to find.

DEFINITELY not.
That's exactly the kind of stuff that crazy people get sent to jail for. It would ruin your life, and the death sentence isn't just an easy way out, you may have to be in death row for years before it happens. I would just let people deal with it themselves, they have enough difficulty believing in simple things like God and dimensions that they deserve a slap in the face such as zombies x)

First I would try y best to discover proof that they are infected, but if I can't I would kill/burn all of them so the virus would not spread.
