I personally think we should be aloud to share gamer tags.

Where were you told you couldn't? You are allowed to PM them, or post them on your profile. The only places you cannot post them are in your signature, or publicly on the forums.

To add to what Steven said. While you cannot add your gamer tag or PSN ID or whatever directly into your signature.

You can add a line in your signature that says:

If you have an Xbox 360 and play Call Of Duty: Black Ops II send me a PM and we can game together

So you can't have the actual ID in your signature as sigs can be seen by guests and we attract some unsavory members. But you can have a message in your signature like the above quoted message.
