Beach trip soon

In two weeks, I'll be spending some time at the beach. It is likely that I will have some time on my own to relax and get a tan. I think I finally have enough courage to wear a speedo. I'm no pervert or exhibitionist, but I don't want to wear my boardies and come back with pale white legs from the knees up. If I am up and walking around the beach, I'll wear my boardies. If I am tanning, I'll slip them off. I wish this wasn't such a problem for some people. By the way, I'm no underwear model, but I'm also no hideous troll. I'm slim and in fairly decent shape.

There has to be other guys who are confident enough to do this, either at the beach or backyard pool. I'd love to hear what other guys think.

Girls don't get questioned so much about this, guys get stereotyped into being gay. Such a double-standard.

yea, I agree with you completely. I live near the beach and like to have tanned legs, I think they look good. I usually wear a Speedo under my boardies and if the beach isn't crowded, i take them off to tan. A couple of time when there were only a few people, i went swimming in my Speedo and it was awesome:). It felt so free to swim that way. I wish people weren't so judgmental about speedos. me and my friends all got a speedo. they're great for tanning and swimming. dry off so quickly compared to board shorts and I hate tan lines.

Yep, even (and when) the sun comes out in Scotland, I have a nice roof to strip down to boxers in, and in a hot country, yep, no top, boards when surfing or somthing

I leave for the beach in 5 days. Why am I getting a little nervous? I shouldn't be because I'm not doing anything wrong/illegal/etc. I'm just going to be lounging and sunning on the beach in a speedo (my first time in public). I wish my parents had gotten me involved in swim teams as a little kid then I would be used to speedos and wouldn't be worried about it at all.

don't worry too much. once you get out in the sun, or better yet swim in the ocean, you'll quickly forget what you're wearing. have a great time!

Whenever we talk about it all my friends say they'd rather see a guy in board shorts. But I've always liked a guy in a speedo. They just look so sexy and confident. I think it narrows the competition for me. Just sayin.

First day of beach time and I shucked the shorts! I'm patting myself on the back (overcame my fear) although there really weren't many people around. There were some that walked by, no one said anything (that I could hear at least).

I won't directly post a picture, but I will post a link that proves it (no you can't see anything pervs, just a side shot).

It felt great. It is tons different than with boardies. My thighs rarely see sun or feel the air. In a few days, I will definitely have a speedo tanline. Ha!

To all you dudes that think this is silly or gay, I don't care. This is how you get tan! No, I wouldn't run around in them or wear them hanging around with people (it would make me and them uncomfortable), but for just relaxing and catching rays it is definitely the way to go.

Congratulation! I am going to the beach with all my friends next week but we all wear speedos anyway. We all decided that wanted to see how it feels. So we all bought a pair and they feel amazing and you dont get those bad tan lines.
