Most people I've met can't wrap their heads around my music taste. Nearly all of it is old school but that's where the similarities end.

My favourite singer of all time would probably be Frank Sinatra. Strangers in the Night, Fly Me to the Moon, and Somethin' Stupid would be the most listened to songs of his on my iPod. As a gift my friend got me his entire discography.

And then we get to some of my favourite bands: Queen in particular, AC/DC, The Beatles, Guns n' Roses.

Some others: Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, the occasional The Who song. I like some more modern stuff as well like Blue Oyster Cult's Don't Fear the Reaper, The Cranberries' Zombie, and Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit.

Then October comes around and suddenly all I want to do is go to the opera with my mother. My favourite productions so far being The Mines of Sulphur, The Ghosts of Versailles and Snegurochka. (The last being Russian).

Anyone else have strange variations in their taste in music? Love old school? Or just want to comment on mine, go ahead, I'm fine with it?

Edit: I forgot the Czech opera, Rusalka. It was the first I saw, a very beautiful production.

I like Bruce Springsteen too, I saw him live a few months ago and it was fantastic. Born To Run is the next song up on my playlist right now.

I myself am a great fan of local musics of my country and other countries, like Spanish musics and Russian which i've heard were fantastic!
But my former classmates didn't like them, and now i do not know what others think about local musics.
I also love classic and light pops.
