I love them both, but I think I'd choose Stargate SG-1 over Star Trek.

I have Star Trek Enterprise which covers the story of Earth's first Warp 5 vessel and the time when Humanity's relationship with the Vulcans was only a century old. It goes through the hardships endured by Earth to try and get a mutual trusting environment with Vulcan and to try and stay neutral in the Vulcan/Andorian war aswell as the Andorian/Telerite war and trying to prevent an invasion from the Klingon Empire. (They seriously hated the humans lol). It also covers the story of how the NX-01 Enterprise brought peace between the Vulcans and Andorians, the Andorians and Telerites, the first encounter with the Romulans and Klingons, the Zindy conflict and the last season's finale shows Captain or rather Admiral Jonathan Archer signing the charter to create the Federation.

Its a brilliant look into the world before the Federation and all those fancy Warp 9.7 ships XD

I used to LOVE stargate SG-1. I would watch it nonstop on hulu until I watched all of the ones on there.

SG-1 is amazing up until 8th season then its just good. I suggest watching it now on hulu or project free tv

Stargate is ok, but I definitely prefer Star Trek. I love the old original show, as well as TNG. :)

star trek we wach it on netflix as a family but i also like stargate and i liked the show when tasha yar died haha cuz i thoght she was kinda lame and warf is waaaaaaay better

I am a massive star trek fan as well as the rest of my family. Nearly every night, me, my younger brother,my mom and my dad watch star trek lol. I like all the series but next generation is my favorite, then maybe Enterprise.
I havn't seen stargate yet but its on my list.
