I did Relay for Life about a day and a half ago. It's an event where you stay up from 6 pm to 6 am and walk around a track to raise money for cancer. We were supposed to take turns walking, but I ended up walking a lot more than the rest of my team. While I was doing it, my ankles began to hurt (I have bad ankles anyway), but then it spread to my knees and hips. Even almost two days later, the back of my legs hurt extremely badly, mostly when I move, just above my knees. I'm not out of shape. I work out every day, sometimes twice a day, including cardio and lifting, so I'm just not sure what's causing this pain, or if it's safe for me to work out. Any ideas/suggestions?

I'd personally rest for another 2 days, put an ace bandage on if there is swelling, if the pain feels the same and nothing changed talk to your doc,

Icing it and rest it would probably do the job. It's probably lingering soreness, like the way baseball pitchers are sore in their arms and shoulders after a game. They ice it and rest it and they turn out fine so I don't see why it wouldn't work for you.
