I can't get a prescription because I self medicate because I cant get a prescription etc, etc,etc.

I have chronic insomnia and some kind of mood disorder. I'm not self diagnosed, kinda.

(Long story not relevant to question, skip at will.)

I was supposed to be evaluated by a psychiatrist but my doctor went into surgery before she wrote my referral. My therapist thinks I have a mood disorder and KNOWS I have insomnia but she is not qualified to diagnose me. The doctor filling in refuses to adjust my meds or write my referral.

My sleeping pills that i have at the moment (Phenergan and Unisom to be taken at will) don't work. My problem is my nightmares keep me awake, i need to be given sedatives to knock me out. However due to my abuse of legal and illegal drugs i can't get stronger prescriptions.

How can i get the medication i need. (legally)

Can't afford to go to a new clinic and the clinic I'm at INSISTS on waiting until my doctor gets back to change ANYTHING. It took ages to get an ALREADY APPROVED prescription renewed for weak non addictive sleep aids.

its not legal obviously, but i've heard marijuana is an excellent cure for insomnia. Every single friend I've ever known whos suffered from insomnia said smoking right before bed did wonders for them.

Just a thought if you ever become desperate... as you can't ever overdose on weed, so its as safe as possible.

Thanks for trying but the meds I need are strong sedatives. Weed doesn't do anything for my nightmares or my anxiety.
