My name isn't really Jacy. They're the phonetic pronunciation of my initials: JC. Well, now that we've got formalities out of the way, let me cut to the chase. I'm transgender, and my mom and stepdad already know. They're quite okay with it. It's my biological dad I'm worried about. He, according to something my mom said he told her when I was nothing but a baby that if any of his children turned out to be non-heterosexual, he would disown them. Not that I even care, regarding the fact that my contact with him is already slim to nil. So, yeah. That's okay, I guess. I guess what I'm really concerned about is the aspect of coming out in public. The only people in the world that even know are my therapist, parents, and a select few friends. I guess I've always felt this way, and just need some help. My username is based on my first choice for a name would be if I ever went M2F , since I'm a guy. I've done a ton of research, but it's all from either adults or people that really (thankfully) don't care. So I just want to hear the people of the net's opinion.

Replies greatly appreciated,
Jacy

First off, well done for opening out. You may not find many people on this site that have gone through what you are going throu, more as the audience here is quite young, though there may be a number with the same thoughts or feelings. Sadly, you may find some people that may have a go (or by the suonds of it, like your dad who may just not want to know). You cannot change how you feel - you are who you are. Keep with those who understand you, and don't worry about those who may try and put you down

I believe that nobody should hold you back from being who you want to be, or who you ARE, rather. But I also believe that you should rush this, and try to take the safe route. We don't want you to put yourself in danger.

I wish the best for you!

There is also the matter of my religious beliefs. But I think that I've got that covered.
