Has anybody here had knee surgery for menisci problems or anything else? I might have a torn meniscus, as my doctor tells me. For years, I have had popping, grinding and locking of my right knee with pain on the medial side. If physio doesn't solve the problem, I will be getting an MRI and arthroscope of my knee. I really hope the physiotherapy fixes it but I'm prepared for surgery if it's necessary.

Has anyone undergone this surgery? What's it like?

Arthroscopic knee surgery involves the doctors inserting an arthroscope into the joint space of the knee to look for problems. You will be under anesthesia and you won't feel anything during the operation.
