Asking the girl of your dreams out on a date

I know this girl, she is sexy,cute,funny,intelligent and beautiful. We are friends and hang out together at school every day. But over the past few weeks I have began having sexual and loving feelings for her. She has been hanging around with another guy, he likes her and she kinda flirts with him but she does that with me too. How can I find out if I have a chance and then ask her out

Does she flirt with you as much as she does with that other guy? And what exactly do you consider "flirting"? If you think that she is showing clear signs that she might be attracted to you, then you should go for it. It can be a little nerve-wracking, but the best way to do so is the direct route: "Hey X, would you like to go out sometime?" and be clear in the resulting conversation that you'd like to take her out on a DATE. Seriously, use the "date" word to be absolutely clear. The last thing you want is to have her thinking its just an activity out "with a friend" and lose any sense of romantic attraction.
