Do I just... say it real casual like, or discuss it before hand and explain, keep it secret and wait for them to catch on

Any advice?

I dont think they'd be upset, they are in favour of same sex marriage but I guess they might think differently if its their own kids? Not that I'm getting married lol

Shrug, your parents are your parents, if they can't accept the fact tht you like a girl, then.. Tsk. Take into fact how your parents deal with things. Are they curt and to the point, or do you think that you need to be less forceful with how you say it? It all depends on how they think.

I'd suggest doing it like ripping off a bandaid, especially if you think your parents will be supportive. There's no reason to make it into more than it is.

If you think its important for them to know, just tell them. "so ive met someone awesome who makes me so happy and her name is ______."

It sounds like you have fairly open parents (I've heard of some that would keep their daughters locked up in to their 30s from girls or boys!). I would sit them down and tell them openly. Be prepared for any initial shock that may come over (parents are like that!), and remain calm if they start shouting. Give it time to settle in and hopefully they should come round.

Thanks guys :) went for the 'ripping the bandaid off' way
Parents are cool
Mum said "that explains all the noise you two were making all last night"

I'm not sure who blushing more - me or Dad

It's nice that you have parents that are so understanding like that.

PS I'm now curious on the noises "you two were making last night"
