How do you know if a girl really likes you?... There's this girl I've liked since the first day of school.. But I've never worked up the guts to talk to her.. She's smiled at me and I've smiled back... But the only thing she's ever said to me is thank you when I opened a door for her.. She also seems to stare at me a lot (although I seem to stare at her a lot).. I really like her, but I can't start conversations with girls.. if a girl starts a conversation with me, I'll talk to with them, even if I barely know them, but I just can't start a conversation with a girl, no matter how well I know her.. If she never talks to me I feel I'm doomed.. I'm only in one class with her, though I see her approximately two-three times a day (in other words I probably have 2-3 oppurtunities to talk to her.. but yeah, I fear I never will talk to her..)

It sounds like she has at least some intrest in you. You've got nothing to lose so either try and talk to her through facebook, myspace, msn or aim etc.. or pluck up to courage and talk to her =]

Edit: I'm the same, I haven't a clue what to talk about.. but after some time it does get better.

I've tried my hardest to find out if she has myspace or facebook.. but I've come up empty.. I don't know any of her friends, and she's a year older than me, and although I know a lot of juniors (I'm a freshman), I know very few sophomores, and of the few sophomores I know, none of them know her. I'm better at communicating over the internet, but I don't how to communicate with her over the internet, as I don't know how to contact her over the internet... I'm just hoping she'll eventually talk to me.. :/

Something I found out was, the really hot girls, I can't talk to. But the not-so-hot (but still very acceptable) girls I can talk to much better. So the person who you could be able to get on with really well, you may not even know about yet but you'll be able to talk to her straight away (if that makes sence). That's what I found out with my last gf anyway lol.

maybe you plan topics of conversations before you talk to her to avoid pauses and that may give you a little more confidence to talk to her.

Well you shouldn't beat yourself up for it. I mean even though it's just one girl.

There are pleny more fish in the sea but give your chances wit this one. You know just walk up to her and say "hey" and she might say "hey" back. I'm nervous around a girl I like but we'll talk. We might talk about what she did during today.

Some advice for you U_N. You never talk about yourself first. Ask her what she might be doing in her life and she'll ask you back. it's what I do. It might help you so try the next time you see her.
