Many of the people whom i have talked to them complain us for slaughtering animals like cow, goat and ship with cutting their heads and let the blood come out of their body...
They may think it is rude and a kind of violence...
Well after i searched about it in many of our religious books and also some Science articles,i have found some good reasons about it...
First:"The Islamic way of slaughtering animal is more hygienic..."
Reason 1:The blood itself is a good place for micro sized bacterias and illness causers to live and grow,so with cutting the throat and make the blood come out of the body,we are preventing from getting ill.
Reason 2:With prevent the blood to reach the brain, animal won't feel any pain after the first pain of cutting the blood fiber. It may shakes and kicks but not because of pain, and it is because of bleeding and running of the blood out of the body.
Reason 3:The meat will be dried and drained and will last more before it gets spoiled and not good for eating.
Suggestion:"The animal is better to be slaughtered in a slaughtering house than in public, but if it is in public for ceremonies, then better to do it quickly..."

well we freeze our meat so don't worry about germs and I guess it's a matter of opinion on what hurts the animal more or less I don't really mind personally

An electric shock does the job just as well, or even a bolt gun

And cause the muscles to be tense at the time of death. That leads to very chewy and tough meat.

not really you need to cut out calories so no fast food, crisps sweets etc you need the protein in the meat to build muscle and if you are exercising you will need carbohydrates from foods like pasta. google top tips on losing weight. NEVET STARVE YOURSELF OR DENY YOU BODY WHAT IT NEEDS. hope this helps:)

not letting the blood reach the brain does not keep them from feeling pain. pain is transmitted through the spinal cord to the brain, so they feel it.
they are more humane ways to kill them first before bleeding them, they dont have to be alive while being drained of blood.
and they are not actually drained of blood unless it is kosher.
though, i dont think any of that matters. even the most humane killing is still violence, which i think is conceptually wrong.

I feel like it's difficult to determine whether a way of slaughtering animals causes pain to them (besides obvious things, such as cutting them into pieces while still alive starting with the extremities would be terribly painful). What are you going to do, ask them? haha. Personally, for treatment of animals, it's important that they have fairly comfortable living conditions (not crammed together so they can't move) and are killed quickly.

Yes...
But about pain i have to tell you the first part of the brain which i do not know its name in english now, will be deactivated by lack of blood in purpose of let the other parts of body to gain more energy from cells of blood,so by the deactivation the Neurons activity will reduce and the message will reach the pain centers slowly so they won't feel a lot of pain, and actually no pain...
Also the blood will be fully get out of the body after the animal dies and then the slaughters can continue their works...
Anyway it is custom in many countries not just muslims.China is still using this way to produce meat...
However any belief is respectful for itself .Again thanks for sharing your ideas about the topic

When we process deer we hang them to let the carcass bleed out before we butcher, so I agree in principle. Of course, they're killed first with a bullet.

It doesn't kill the bacteria. Bacteria can withstand freezing temps

nor does pouring the blood out and by the way you cook meat to kill bacteria your freeze it to stop it from going off

I've eaten meat that was drained the muslim way. It was tough and tasteless.
I've eaten meat that was killed with a bullet, was juicy, succulent and soft.
I've also eaten meat killed via electric shock. Felt like I was trying to bite into a leather boot.

So killing the animal with a bullet is the best way to do it. Especially since its quick and painless.

No animal should just be treated like trash, I think killing a meat animal with a big fat butcher knife is a little extreme...A bullet is pretty good.

My opinion? Bee-head it from the upper side, or shoot it in the head. The least pain the animal takes, the better. I am against electric shock, since it makes the muscles contract, and thus makes it tougher to chew. Bee-heading it with a sharp and strong enough blade can be as effective as shooting it, so it might be more economical to get a blade like that, and sharpen it regularly.

i really think that some animals should be preserved and I also believe that other animals can be killed for meat consumption. If you believe that meat should not be eaten, then that's fine with me.

As long as the animal isn't tortured, I don't really mind how it was killed, as it ends up dead anyway.
I'd rather eat an animal which lived in a big pasture for years then had it's throat cut than a chicken kept in a cage it's whole life which is then electrocuted.
