View Full Version : Senioritis: I Have A Bad Case of It

For the past few weeks my interest in school has gone down by quite a lot. I started this year saying this would be my best year in high school and I enjoyed all my classes. (By the I am a junior) Now the fucks I give about school has depleted down to about 1. 2 weeks ago I was skipping my classes because the teachers annoyed me, the students act like dumbasses and the material we cover in most of them does not interest me one bit. The only reason I stopped is because my coach got on my case about skipping class, so if I skip again I'm off the team.

I started slacking in my work; I know I'm a procrastinator but it's gotten to the point where I'll be trying to finish 2-3 page essays the class before it's due (and these aren't essays you can BS in order to get a good grade).

It's actually gotten to the point where I woke up this morning concocting ideas on how I could stay home (play sick, hurt myself, overly complain about school to my parents, whatever it would take).

I've never been like this, and it's not me "just being lazy", I think I'm just losing that drive to go to school. I say it's a case of senioritis, especially because it's around the end of the school year, and I can almost feel the summer vacation in my grasp.

The only good thing about school is my music: I'm taking 4 music classes and those are the only things that get me psyched about school.

I have senioritis; someone help me push through the end of the year so I can get some decent grades. Any tips from actual seniors who have experienced the lack of interest in school, and anyone else who found some way to motivate themselves to get through stuff like this?

I'm the same way. I have lost total interest in my classes. I sleep in most of them now. (I'm a junior too). I haven't done any homework all month, but I'm still doing good on my tests. I'm pushed mostly because the year is almost over, so that gives me somewhat of a motivation.

I've had senioritis since November. (Yay juniors :)) I've done NO math homework because its easy as hell. I don't have to worry about homework in my first two classes. I just do my Spanish and my chem during lunch and I sometimes get it done. The only time when I have English homework is when there's an essay due the next morning ( I don't have any classes before it so I actually do essays at home). Basically the only reason I pull through is cuz my mom will be the monkey on my back til I go to college.
