5 or 6 inches in girth is not as long as it sounds. Mine is 5 and it's not that big.

OMG, girth is the circumference of your erect shaft. You can only measure it if you have a cloth or flimsy measuring tape. I think, if every dick is like mine you can multiply the width of the shaft by 2.92. example: girth = 2.92 x erect width

My dick has a girth of 6 1/4'' and no girls complain about it. They really like it! Having a bigger girth doesnt make a big difference with with. Most guys are about 1 7/8'' wide and mine is only 1/4 bigger at 2 1/8''

I was told I had a wide girth at the head, but the girl said it felt very good - she said that one guy was "too long" once and she stopped him going any further but would prefer width - I think there are exercises you can do to make it bigger.

i would think that you would need a little of both. long and pencil thin wouldn't do a whole lot but on the same token supper wide with no length wouldn't either. Also the guy needs to know how to use what he has and that can totally make up for length or girth issues he may have.
