If so what sort of music? Whats your sleeping playlist? Music on earphones, headphones or speaker?

I listen to music every single night! I don't know if it helps me sleep, but I don't like complete silence.

I use earphones. I tend to listen to dubstep or indie rock.

You?

I usually play anything that's calm and not up beat. I want to let the calming music put me to sleep.

Yes, I always put on some Slayer to calm me down. :)

Just kidding. Jokes aside, some calm music like Enya or Vangelis helps me sleep. ^^

Music that I find calming. I literally have a playlist named "sleep", containing: Therapy, All My Heart, Be My Heart I Lack, Care, Don't Fall Asleep at the Helm, Dosed, Hip Bone Wishes, I Could Die For You, If You're Watching After Me, Left Your Soul, Sweetie, and When You Can't Sleep At Night. And I usually listen to it on earphones or speakers.

I used to have problems sleeping a few years ago. I would listen to the sound of the rain mixed with music. I'd pop my headphones in and shut my eyes allowing the msic to drift me off.

Before that, I was depressed for a while and I would try and force myself to sleep to get away from the world and would run some of my favorite R&B artists on a playlist to help sooth my mind.

Now if i'm laying down I'll play my Cardboard Castles album on my iPod and will fall asleep really quickly. Sometimes when get tired, I play some Pat Matheny Group and it will Knock me out asap.

It helps me sleep if I'm really anxious or afraid in an unfamiliar place, but otherwise any noise keeps me up. On those occasions, it has to be something softer and slower. Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk is my favorite song to go to sleep to, if I had to pick.

Sometimes music helps me sleep, other times it keeps me up. I'm a very active music listener. I always end up concentrating on the music, causing me to stay awake.

Music has always helped me fall asleep. I listen to a lot of unplugged versions of metal songs. It's quite surprising how much the music changes when it is unplugged. I usually use earphones.

On my sleep playlist I have a selection of:
Yiruma
Claude Debussy
Jonsi (from Sigur Ros)
Mayday Parade
Sleeping With Sirens
Pierce The Veil
The Maine

But the last four are in a totally different genre not even similar to any of the first three xD

Keeps me awake. I find myself singing along in my mind, or tapping my feet, or at least thinking of it. The only music that puts me to sleep is really heavy metal or ultra experimental noise stuff that has no real beat to follow.

It does help me sleep, but I don't do it much anymore. When I do though, its whatever. Upbeat, calming, anything. I normally just pick a playlist I already have made or just play my whole library. And speakers, I don't have ear buds, so I can't really sleep with the ones I have.

I listen to Lana Del Rey because her singing style is really soothing and knocks me out. I just use speakers at a low volume, I can't stand wearing earphones for a long time.

I fall asleep to music a lot. Usually Pink Floyd (Us and Them, full version of Shine On, Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, Love Scene Versions 4 and 6, A Pillow of Winds, The Final Cut). ELO (Strange Magic, Starlight), The Cure (Lullaby, Carnage Visors) and a bunch of soundtracks like LOTR ahahaha
