I read about it and I think I fit the decription for it. I try to be social but I struggle with it and find it hard to make friends with people ( I dont really have many friends). I always feel alone and a lot of the time seperate myself from others during activities. I hate parties and dances. I like to read and learn about military (particulary special forces and play games in real life to simulate it) a lot. Do I have Asperger's Syndrom? It seems to make sense to me and would answer why I suck socially.

I think the only way to know is to ask your doctor to see if there's like a mental test for it.

Well, how do you think? Do you think in English or in pictures or sounds or what?

You are indeed showing symptoms of Asperger Syndrome or Autism. From what you have said, it would be better if you got a third opinion, such as a GP or someone you know, and then going through the route of your parents getting a referral from your GP and getting a formal diagnosis. This can take some time, and it's better to get a diagnosis ASAP. We can't say whether you have or have not as Autism is different in everyone, so you can describe many traits you have but only those that can interact with you in the real world, notice things you do subconsciously and body language, as well as those that specialize in those areas will be able assess you, as we cannot.

Mention your concerns at a regular doctor's appointment and see if they think you need to be referred to a specialist.

I think I remember reading about this condition somewhere that it is one that usually isn't able to be diagnosed in yourself. That is, if you actually had it, it would be the furthest thing from your mind. I don't really have any source for that or know if its correct, but it sounds familiar to me. That doesn't mean there isn't something that you should get checked out. Good luck!

I don't think you do. You may have Social Anxiety Disorder though. Or you could just not like people in general.

Have fun with this. It's just an online quiz, not supposed to be any kind of real diagnosis.

Lots of people start with talking to their regular doctor about it. So if you're not due for a check up any time soon, you'll have to figure out a way to get an appointment set up. You could give them something to read about AS so they understand it better. If they freak they freak. That shouldn't stop you from getting help if you need it. If/when you talk to your doc, just tell him how you feel personally, instead of quoting symptoms off a list.

I don't think they would be weirded out. If anything, they'd be happy you're concerned.

Well, I was diagnosed with aspergers when I was 11, and you do have symptoms of it.
Even though I do have aspergers, I really don't know too much about it. I've always had social anxiety, and fear of being social is a big part of aspergers, from what I don know. So if you don't like being around people, and hate socializing, you may have aspergers. But it's best to ask a GP, as stated above. Asking an expert would be your best option. But coming from someone who does have this syndrome, it does sound like you may have aspergers, but i'm 100% sure.
