I have a good friend who is friendly... But I don't know weather he is gay or straight. I have a crunch on him and want to come out to him. Have any of you come out with your friends and what was there reaction... Did they feel the same about you?

Hi Kev,
There is no big deal about coming out. It's just a label! That's how I think of it.
On Friday, I'm pretty sure I came out to alot of people because I participated in the National Day of Silence. I couldn't talk at all in school and I was wearing a gay ribbon (gay colors) as well as a little sign around my neck which had this paragraph (http://i.imgur.com/pIv9vg7.png) on it, explaining my cause (being silent to protest homophobia and anti-LGBTQIA bullying). Anyway, since I was one of the only guys in my whole high school supporting it, many of my classmates assume I am gay now. I'm glad! I told 3 people I was gay that day. They weren't surprised. They already knew before that. The one girl said nothing, she was like 'Okay'. Because she already knew, definitely. The other ones just said, "Wow, really?!" and then nothing changed besides the fact. I hope this is also the case with you! It is just a label. I haven't had anyone besides my sister have a neutral/negative reaction about it.

I was actually in the same position very recently. I have massive crush on my best friend. Tell him you're gay, first, and see how he reacts. If he asks who you like, tell him that it's him.
Ok, so I've come out to a few friends, Lily, Rachel, Emma, Aileen, Ev, and a couple more, they all still accept me. Emma's bi, so she is sorta proud. She's my borrowed sister though, making it pretty damn awkward that I like her. Lily and Rachel respect that I told them, and want to talk about it, which is nice. Aileen, she's just amazing. She doesn't mind. Ev knew. Which surprised me. She said it was because "I'm not like other girls". None of my friends have feelings for me, as far as I know.

Guys are different...
They don't have to be, that's just you putting all guys into a generalization.

Bring up the topic of sexuality. If you a comfortable with it, just tell hi you're gay and then see how it goes.

Agreed with last post. Bring the topic up generally and see how his reaction goes. If he takes it quite positive, probe further. You can stop at any point and change the subject if you don't feel comfortable.
