Prom?

Hey I was just wondering if any of you have any tips in asking girls to the prom,
I like to keep things subtle, I'm not that guy who sets fireworks off and the fanfare
So if you have any ideas in asking privately and what to use, nothing too expensive, it would be great, thanks

The way my guy asked me was we were just talking a normal conversation about anliens and just randomly went "hey, I'd like to ask you something" and I said "what?" he asked "would you do me the delightful honor of going to prom with me?"

Of course I said yes and we went right back to our conversation. Nice simple and you don't have to worry about making a huge scene. Tell me what she said :) goodluck!
