Is it love? Or just a curse?

My "school mom" who is a senior, told me I never was in love. I told her I was and still am in love with my ex. She asked me why. I said I didn't know, she was just perfect. My mom said everyone has flaws and my ex's were quite obvious. I told her yes they are but they're a part of her and she wouldn't be the same without them. My mom just turned away and said I grew up too fast and I shouldnt love anyone, but I proved I did. She told me that it wasn't a good thing, becaus emy ex doesn't like me as anything more than a friend. she sais this would either destroy me, or make me one of the strongest kids out there. I'm scared it's going to destroy me, but I can't help being in love... can I?

First off, what are these flaws? Would it make it dangerous to be in a relationship? How do YOU think she feels about you? Did you break up as a mutual agreement (for the best for both parties) or did one person break it off?

Her flaws are trust issues and lack of self comfidence. she broke up with m because she said our relationship was getting to serious and her trust issues were makeing her uncomfortable. It was not a mutual agreement, it crushed me. She says she still likes me but not as much as she thought she did.
