VT Speed

Now, I'm not sure if it's just me, my ISP, or some other thing causing this, but VT has been running slowly when trying to load new pages. I notice this especially when I post, but it has happened trying to load a thread too. I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem or not.

I know myself that I've had a few issues lately, with slow loading pages and occasionally VT not loading at all, and a couple other staff members have too. So I don't believe it's just you.

Is it happening to you all the time or..? It's fine for me now, but it at times has crapped out on me and then be fine.

I do experiance slight problems with loading pages in the morning/early afternoon. I guess it just happens sometimes. It usually happens when I post, it takes ages to load and then just refreshes the page and I end up having to write out my post again because it gets rid of it. Usually, it's alright for me but recently it's got slower. Probably too much pressure on the system or something like that.

The server doesn't currently have an extremely high load and has actually been lowered in the past weeks/months if anything. I haven't been experiencing and loading time problems or problems with posting either. Is this something that happens to you all of the time? Does it happen to you when you use different internet connections/ISPs?

Well, I cannot really judge it too well since I'm using my university's Wi-Fi. I know though that I have been having issues that have only started very recently.

I haven't had any issues with VT that might not occur on any general webpage. It's very likely your ISP, Connor. As we both know, mine is t-total shit, and VT still runs flawlessly, all the time.

For me, sometimes, but not always.

Every once and a while I'll get a really slow-loading page but it's usually while on my phone. I never really experience slow loading on any other websites while on my phone though.

Every now and then I get the issue, but only when I use a certain computer.

Sometimes I just have trouble loading pages. A lot of the time if it's having problems loading pages Chrome just displays a generic "couldn't connect to the webpage because the server sent no data" and doesn't load at all.

Apart from that, I'm getting an "Error connecting to server, please try again in a few minutes" message for the chat (in the applet) but I assume that's because I'm at school.

It happens once or twice a day where I'll press the 'post' button weather it's to post a new thread or a reply like this, and VT will slow way down and take like a minute to post.

I've actually been having a lot of problems with this, especially trying to view threads and post replies. I only access VT from home and there are no issues with my laptop or internet connection as everything else is incredibly quick.

VT just suddenly lagged a minute or two ago, and now it's working fine again....wasn't my internet because all other sites while VT was lagging were working fine

I have shitty, slow internet and sometimes it can be slow, but usually I put it down to my ISP.

I'm getting regular page delays too. Sometimes it'll be quick, other times I find myself waiting quite a bit until the response I posted to a thread has gone through.
