So I was taken to the ER because I had a nose bleed, turns out it was just irritated but at the same time I had developed an Ear Infection, so as it turns out it was really bad, and I was almost crying in pain.

I got prescribed antibiotics and ibuprofen also I have prescribed ear drops. So far the pain is almost gone and well but my ear is still shut and I can't completely hear from it.

As this is the first time I have been this sick I am freaking out like you have no idea specially because I'm not in a sense in my "home", and I sorta have to take care of myself. I will take all of the 10 days of antibiotics I have been prescribed with but I just have a million questions to those who have had this before.

How long did it really last?
How long until I will be able to hear?
Do I properly shower, or should I avoid any water making contact with my head?
Is it ok if I attend school in one more day (Already missed 4 days)?
Can this turn any worse?

I will extremely appreciate answers, even if short or if really long, I tend to get really desperate when I'm sick.

3 days to about a week
Maybe in 2 days just need the gunk out and swelling to go down
Take a proper shower just don't rinse you ears, (like get water in it)
You should unless you have a fever
If you don't take ur medicine

How's that ear thing coming along? I had like that, and I couldn't swim at all or it would get worse. The doctor said it could permanent damage my ears.

I don't hear out of it as good any more.

Well it's been a while and I am much better after the 17th it took me about 5 more days to actually get back the feeling of normal in my ear. Then it just felt a little bit dirty but by the time I finished my antibiotics I was fine.

I still took off about a month from track which basically means my season was by far the worst one, but I rather take care of this now then have another relapse from a stupid mistake and end up sick during cross country season.

I'm sorry to hear that, it must really suck.
