When did you sr=tart shaving your legs??

I'm 13 and I haven't started shaving my legs. I get really paranoid about it but I don't really want to shave them because I worry I'll get it wrong and hurt myself.

you'll be fine. :)
Take a hot shower so the hair gets softer,
use a shaving gel if you wish so you don't get much friction,
make sure you have a good quality razor and pull the skin tight when you shave so there aren't places the razor can catch skin (especially in places where its usually creased or soft like behind your knee or your bikini area, you definitely don't want nicks there)
go slowly in the normal direction your hair grows because going against the hair causes irritation and other stuff you don't want
and finally take your time...you can never be too careful
And of course, nobody can make you shave if you aren't comfortable doing it, you can always wear something longer so it covers if you're embarrassed about people seeing until you're ready to start shaving, but you shouldn't necessarily feel forced to do anything before you're ready

I started around 11 or 12. You'll get a couple nicks the first time but you'll get the hang of it. The above advice is great except on your legs if you want the hair the stay away longer shave against.

I guess I'm lucky because my leg hairs are so fine they can't really be seen yet. But thanks for the advice, Chelsea.

It's not so bad. I started at 12. Use lots of cream and a sharp razor. Do it in a nice hot shower if you want. You'll be OK.
