Just wondering what your favourite gaming moment was, was it a cutscene, a place in a game, something that made you laugh, cry etc...
for me it was in Final Fantasy VIII when you go from Balamb Garden into Galbadia Garden during the Battle and as you run across you can see the battle happening behind you, it was this (non)real time like event that stuck with me

Many moments in Heavy Rain, but probably the best one was when Madison broke into Shelby's flat to find out he was the origami killer, then locked up and almost killed in the house fire.

In Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic when you are in the Leviathan, trying to escape and Darth Malak appears, reveals that you are the sith lord Revan and kidnaps Bastila.

Spoilers, obviously.
Damn, there's so many. The ones that first came to my head are from Red Dead Redemption. When you first get to Mexico and get on the horse a really beautiful song starts playing as you ride through the new land. It's an amazing gaming moment. Then there's John's death near the end. That's pretty unforgettable too.
Damn, but then there's that certain cut scene if you choose deal at the end of GTA IV. That was such a sad moment for me. Roman was annoying as fuck at times but he was pretty much all Niko had left. Then there's the phone call you get later telling you that Mallory's pregnant. It's quite heart breaking.

All of the clever allusions in all the Ratchet & Clank games. Especially the first three games.

My fondest gaming moment is using a Goliath Tank in UT3 and shooting down a Raptor getting the Eagle Eye score XD

I think the most powerful moment in gaming for me was when I was playing through Kingdom Hearts. Not even the very end, but when you fight Riku near the end. That battle just got to me because two childhood best friends fighting against each other, potentially to the death.

I know right?
COD4, the bombing on the chase for Al Asad.
It caused that moment, because it turned out that Shepherd was their commanding officer, and he went berserk. I don't understand him either. Shoot Al Asad if you really want revenge...
