I've never coughed during the winter but now i can't stop my nose is stuffed and my throat is stuffed i even breathe funny now and now i see the light

Congratulations, you are now the very proud owner of a cold. :) Everyone gets them, and having a stuffed up nose and a congested chest and cough is normal. If you're really feeling that bad, go to your local pharmacy and and get some cough syrup, lozenges and tissues etc.
While colds do suck and make you feel totally awful, you ARE NOT dying.

Ahh the auld Rhinovirus. The common cold. As for "the light", you are probably not used to a cold, and you overreacted. Or it could be he eyes fluttering as a result of the excess coughing. Take some anti-fly medicine and it will go away.
