View Full Version : Things to talk about!?
gracelessness

As a kid I never thought of myself as shy but when I got into secondary school I lost all my confidence and whenever someone tries to talk to me I never know what to say and I worry that if I do talk I'll be embarrassing or dumb. The only time I think I can really talk to someone is online. The thing is I'm not antisocial and I do want friends so is there anything I can chat about to people (bearing in mind I am a 13 year old girl) and is there any way I can sort of get out of a loner or emo label and make friends? Thanks

I believe everyone meets this stage sometime in their life. When you get deeper into the grades, people begin to base you off the way you act and many people always overthink or are super critical on everything they say or do so they could "fit in". Talking online is different since you can make a character or persona for yourself that your aren't really, almost like a mask. But I would say the best way to come out of this stage is to just be yourself. This is the best way to show people who you really are and and to make trustworthy friends! One thing people often like being around to is confident people. Make sure to act upbeat and positive and always friendly. I'm sure you will be making friends in no time.
Good luck!

Speak your mind. If you have something to say, say it :) it doesn't matter what it is, if you're talking about music or sports add your two cents. Eventually you can move on to more interesting topics.
