Why do you need to? You can always edit it if you want to change it...

Basically this. ^ There's really no reason to double post in your own thread, unless you're bumping it from a while ago. You can always go back and edit your last post.

It does not repost if you edit your post using the edit button.

You can not double post on a thread, even if you started it.

Edit; I'm assuming you mean this (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?p=2152602#post2152602) thread; correct me if i'm wrong.

you weren't the last poster so you can still post.
If you were worried about bumping the thread, it hasn't been 2 months since the last post, but even so, you could still bump it because it's your thread.

I believe under certain circumstances (up to the moderator's discretion) it was allowed for OP to double post/bump if it was in the instance of an update. I could be wrong, or it was an understood rule from my days. Regardless, if it's not, it might not be a good idea to have this very minor change, or at least consider it.

That is indeed how it is now and has been as long as I can remember being on the site. If the OP needs to double post in order to bump his or her thread, then it is fine to do, seeing as there wouldn't be another way to do it and an OP can bump his or her own thread.

If you want to go bump an old thread that you started, you can do that. It's that simple. :)
