No, I am not talking about Mexicans that illegally come over the border lol

I am talking about real life extra-terrestrial-lifeforms that could possess technology 100s to 1000s of years ahead of us.

If they did exist, and if they did come to Earth, or we stumbled across them, would we be at war, forced into slavery, or become long lasting allies with them?

If they could get to earth we would be crushed in a second, our radar and nuclear weapons would like sticks and stones compared to there weaponry. However there are some reports that say that if you look in southern American caves there is evidence that aliens actually helped us advance thousands of years ago

True, would it be better to opt for peace then?

I doubt they would want peace, I mean look when we went over to America in the 1600's and wiped out the Natives. We only had one thing on our mind and that was resources and land.

Likely, at war. Because extra-terrestrial life forms could be here for only one reason: to invade.

Why in the universe would a life form that developed completly seperatly come to such an inhospitable place?
And only a person of „certen nationalety” would be stupid enouth to try and harm an rase teznologecly much mor advanced than us let alone even start a war; maybe they dont even have instrumentes of war and would be unable to respond to such actions...
It is also doubtfull we would be able to comunicate vith them.

Any intelligent lifeform that expands out into the galaxy would need to have weapons and instruments of war incase a war breaks out. I mean, you wouldn't be happy if Russia decided to walk over the EU? The EU would go to war and protect itself if need be.

So in essence, perhaps if they too have been curious like us to wonder if there's been intelligent life elsewhere in the galaxy, perhaps we could with both our races find a way to peacefully coexist with eachother.

aha that feels better, it was setting of my OCD. I reckon the aliens would either be ultra aggressive and wipe us out within seconds or as I said earlier they could attempt to help us due to the fact they could have much more superior intellect to ours

Any extraterrestrial species that has the ability to travel hundreds or thousands of light years also has the ability to easily wipe us out.

However, why would they care? What would our planet have to offer them to make it worth spending the time and effort to annihilate us? Unless they're a race of destroyers, which is improbable, they'll probably just ignore us.

but knowing America they would tell the UN they are a threat and should attack them. then boom earth is gone. but I would love to see aliens and have them guide us because we are still little lifeforms that haven't left the pond. it would be nice to have then teach us how to use a alternative energy resource.

Why would they need us? Why would they want to be allies with us, especially since they'd be ahead of our time?

If anything, they'd come here to harvest what they want and need, and leave. Obviously, if what they wanted is something we needed, we would go to war. But I don't believe on aliens. So yeah

It's a bit pessimistic to assume that any otherworldly life that would visit our planet would only come here to invade us. While invasion would certainly be a likely possible scenario, it's also just as likely that they'd come here to learn about us and possibly befriend us.

Humans are excited about the possibility of some day discovering life from another planet. Are we excited over that possibility because we want to invade them and take all of their resources for ourselves? No. We're excited because it's a major scientific discovery, and we can confirm that we are not alone. It's entirely possible that they could feel the exact same way.

Please share a link I'm actally really curious

Agree, Aliens prob would mine our planet, especially if they need water, they might act peaceful but later stab our backs

It depends on how we react to them and their intentions. lets assume they are nuetral to us and just curious about our species.

If we were to attack them, they would probably become our enemies and we could be at war or enslaved

if we were to greet them with open arms, we could potentially become allies and help each other out.

We should also assume that if there are aliens, there are probably many different species. some friendly, some agressive, and others just plain strange and hard to understand.

So it depends on the circumstances.

First off, I do believe there are some uncontacted intelligent life somewhere among the cosmos. I just dont get why people always think they are going to come to Earth with weapons and try to wipe us off the map, I do believe we'd become allies. I dont think any of this will happen in our life of course..maybe a thousand years from now if were not already wiped out by pollution/global warming.

There is a program or was a program on History channel called Ancient Aliens.

I believe that if Aliens helped us construct Stone Henge, The Pyramids and also some of our other structures that are seemingly impossible for people in that time period to have created or even lifted for that matter, then it is likely that the same aliens might be waiting for us to get off of our planet and start go out into space. We're so afraid of economical stuff that going into Space is such a distant thing to many of us.

But I was talking about the scenario in which we go to another solar system, bump into aliens that already inhabit that place, and see what goes on from there. Would they attack us, or would they warn us we're in their space and tell us to leave or would they welcome us or fear us? It would be a very interesting thing for both species if either one of the wondered if they were alone in the universe to find another intelligent life-form out there. Perhaps they might be just as advanced as we are. But with slightly different technology and perhaps a better understanding of it.

Aliens are certainly out there but not anywhere near Earth.
Why would aliens bother coming to Earth to say hi? They would probably have a reason to visit us.

For one, being like us and wanting to find another intelligent life-form. Would be a great scientific discovery, silence the voices that say aliens don't exist, and help get a broader perspective of the Universe.

i think if there were super advanced aliens that wanted war or slavery, it would have happened already. sightings and stories of the such are no different than theyve been for as long as the concept of et has been around, and nothings changed.
im sure theres other life out there, but its not here.

If we ran into them in another solar system, it's hard telling what might happen. Hopefully, the mission would include people trained to deal with such a situation (at least as much as such a thing could be trained) and not just military personnel. It's interesting to think about first contact. I would hope that all parties would let curiosity win out over fear so that it would be peaceful.
