Dubstep Music?!?!

Everytime I tell someone that I listen to dubstep, a lot of the reactions are the same:

"That's not music"
"I hate dubstep"
"Dubstep is too loud and obnoxious"

I just wanted to hear on some of your opinions on this genre of music. Personally I like dubstep because it just pumps me up and puts me in a great mood!:yes:

I don't know any dubstep artists and quite frankly it's a genre I never listen to in my free time. But at parties and stuff I find it pretty cool sometimes depending on the vibe and how heavy the dubstep is.

Most people who say its not music are people who love only classical type music, or have only heard Skrillex. Also, alot of the music that is mistakened for Dubstep is just glorified EDM. Some of my favourite artists are exXxcision, Bassnectar, Datsik, Knife Party, and Liquid Stranger. I also happen to make my own too :-D

If I'm at like a party or something, I will listen to it and yes... dance to it -- but with my girlfriend so it's not sooo weird. No, I don't listen to like Skrillex in my free time though...

I love it ... its awesome... I cant stand techno... but dybstep is like ur bacjround music when ur feeling awesome :)

its easy to do wrong, and alot of people are doing it these days. so people get a bad idea of what its really like.
ive heard some really awesome dubstep of various sorts, and i enjoy it.
i even have a friend who makes dubstep.

I love Dubstep. And for the record
Dubstep does not mean Skrillex, or vice versa. Skrillex is a DJ, not a genre of music. ._.

People get that wrong alot ...
