So a high school in Cali has banned leggings, and forced 450 of their female student to miss class and attend an assembly about it. They are classifying leggings as tights and are making girls either wear shorts or skirts over them.

Some girls argued that it wasn't fair that they couldn't wear their leggings because of guys' "raging hormones", and that the guys should have had to attend the assembly as well.

Honestly, I have no problem with leggings, they aren't that distracting. But the position that females are taking on this is stupid and wrong. Guys aren't the ones wearing them, and distracting everyone. Its like wearing mini skirt and then blaming a guy for looking once you been down in front of him. You knew the outcome of what you were going to wear before you put it on, so don't blame the others for following human nature.

Here is the article. (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainment/2013/04/calif-school-says-leggings-do-not-equal-learning/)

Our school has them banned. I like how they look, but they are kind of revealing, and some girls took it way to far. The new rule is if you're wearing really tight pants, and they don't have a zipper, you have to change. I think it's reasonable.

lol bummer, but I guess they could be a bit too sensual or risqué for a school setting.

If they wear them decently, there shouldn't be a problem. At my old school, some people wouldn't wear them very well, and it looked kinda slutty.

So what, I don't understand why they have to make a big deal about it. Why don't they just not wear leggings.

It's pretty pathetic but yeah my school has restrictions on tightness of trousers, skirt has to be longer than 7cm above the knee and they've banned the make Miss Sexy school trousers so to be fair Americans with their non-uniform every day get it easy in my opinion. Girls practically try to dress as provocatively as they can and the way some of them wear leggings when they're practically see through is disgusting. I don't see a problem with this it's not like they have nothing else to wear.

At least they don't have to wear a full school uniform like I do. Hell, I'm not allowed to choose what colour shoes I can wear.

that shouldn't happen. I'm not involved in the direct discussion, but unless you have a legging fetish, it shouldn't be a problem. If you do, as I do, you should learn to control it, as you should behave with any fetish. You're not going to see someone with a foot fetish licking someone's feet in class, and you aren't going to see a zoophile humping the class pet, so the same rules should apply with anything if they're going to be that strict

Leggings are a very revealing type of clothing. School is a place of learning, not showing everything off/flirting. Sure, you can kindle friendships and relationships, but its not "Oh, let me dress like I want to be bent over and fucked". Just my own take..

Still find this ban to be completely reasonable, already been in place where I live

This reminds me of this one girl at one of my old schools who wore leggings and a mini skirt to school everyday, she would kind of show off when guys were around, it was ridiculous.

yeah if girls are doing things like the girl I mentioned above does/did then I think it is reasonable to ban them, otherwise just let them be.
