I know for some girls, periods are just gross, untimely things, but I get terrible cramps in my front and back, ranging for nearly unbearable to an annoying ache. I absolutely hate it, I don't have any reason to be wasting my eggs, I don't want any more god damn blood coming out of my vagina. I want to get birth control pills, I've heard it helps a lot, and you can take it continuously and not have an official period. I do not need birth control to prevent pregnancy, and I don't think my parents want to get it for me because they don't want me to be officially "active", if I told my doctor, would they suggest it to my parents for me? Also, what pills are the best?

But seriously, You could talk to a doctor about it. A friend of mine takes Advil (those things always taste like M&M's... I just got an idea for a prank c:) for her monthly stab wounds. I know it's not a rare thing for some females to have over-the-top pain during their period. I'm sure your doctor will be able to give you some advice, if not something to help cope with it.
Not that I would ever suggest you bring this up with your parents, but it's worth mentioning that my mother actually uses small doses of weed to help her get through her time, especially if the pain is really bad.

Being on BC has helped me with cramps. That's how I got my mom to let me use it.

I'd be in a lot of trouble if I wasn't on it, I guess mum figured as much and had me get put on it

Before i went on BC, I needed to stay home one or two days when y period started because it hurt to much. After i started BC I only have some little cramps, nothing much.

Yes it definitely helps a lot with cramps/monthly pain. It's just gross now, not gross and sporadic moments of agony

birth control pills can screw up hormone stuff.
plus, the idea of 'tricking' my body, sound unpleasant and dangerous.

yeah same for me. plus I had some bad side affects so I had to stop taking it even though it was only the lowest dose my doctor could give

Better than the side effects of not taking: ie. a baby

Do you have a Planed Parenthood near by? You can go by yourself and be put on birth control without parental consent. But I think it's only for the pill, not the shots or anything.

I'm not meaning to influence your decision, but just wanted to say that I used to get terrible and unbearable cramps as well, but drinking a TON of water (just plain water; no flavored water, soda, or sugary drinks) and exercising really does help myself and others that I've shared my experiences with. But everyone is different, so it might not help you particularly, worth a shot, though...

Well of course unintended pregnancy is a lot worse than moodiness, nausea, and headaches. I'm just saying if you aren't at much risk for pregnancy taking the pill might not be the best option because everyone reacts differently and for many it may not be a problem, but for me at least, it was.

My older sister took me to plan parenthood and got me on implanon. It's an implant in your arm the size of a match stick.

As stated -- you could go to a clinic like PP and get the pill -- NuvaRing -- implants and your parents won't find out unless they see the packaging or what not. You could attempt to see if a doctor will strongly recommend it for the reasons you need it.
