I'm not a doctor, but you can get physically addicted to almost anything. Coffee, diet coke, sugar, caffeine, etc. basically do what ou want with your body. But caution for it is hard o undo damage done and easy to choose without thought.

Weed is not psychically addictive Google it tests have been done and the stuff to do with what makes things addictive just are not in weed and for harming you well yeah no one truly knows if it does or doesnt me personally i think its ok as long as you dont smoke everyday for 30 years

This is actually really interesting. Just because something doesn't have physically addictive qualities, you can still get addicted, right? It must be a psychological addiction, like they have been talking about people being addicted to mobile phones and Facebook in the news lately. I might take up your advice and Google it, because it seems interesting. It makes me think that I've heard a lot of people say the hardest thing about quitting smoking cigarettes it breaking the habit, after being so used to always reaching for a smoke when they go outside or whatever.

I guess I see what you're saying... It's just that my friend died as a result of heroine. I'm not saying it'll happen to this guy, but it's just a touchy subject for me because I lost someone close to me because of it.

The "addiction" for most psychedelic drug (weed, shroos, lsd, mdma) are mostly in your head and they are easier to stray from addiction, but other types of drugs like cocain, heroin, crack etc.. take more of an effect on your body (immune system) so the addiction is harder to get rid of if your always getting sick. If your going to do drugs do hallucinogens XD .... weed is the safest out of all of them so no worries.

I can say the same. I'm sixteen, catholic hs soph, am gonna clear this school year with at least a 3.8, took 3 AP courses this year, I play hs football, surf, board and ride bikes. I love to read all kinds of books, I write stories, poems and essays of my own. I've been smoking since I was 14. I typically get stoned after school, and don't miss a day, unless I have none. My gf smokes too. My parents know I smoke (my mom also smokes weed, she says my dad does too, but I don't live with him, and I've never seen him stoned that I know of). I don't like alcohol, and usually don't drink socially. And I love to drive stoned, and have never had an accident.

Weed can be habitual, but I have never felt any kind of withdrawal symptoms when I don't smoke for a while. I know stoners, I know hard drug users (crack and heroin) and all I can say is I know what my limits are. I have never tried anything like coke or crack or heroin, and I have no interest or desire to try anything harder than weed, and I will probably be on my death bed with my pipe.

It's not physically addictive, but i can see how someone can get addicted to it mentally. Cigarettes are physically addictive because they have nicotine which is a chemical that makes people addicted to it. I knew this girl who felt that she couldn't go a day with out weed but she does other stuff like cocaine, mushrooms, and pills (she sounds like a horrible person, but shes actually super nice) so she just has an addictive personality. People like the high so they always smoke it, doesnt really mean that they couldn't go without it. In their minds they can't, but once that goes away its easy.

I've been a regular marijuana user for 2 years and have felt no urges to move on to Narcotics, methamphetamines or any other processed drug, if it really is a "gateway drug" me nor any of my pot-smoking friends have experienced any affects. (One friend of mine did get some laced weed, but that's sorta beside the point I am making on marijuana)

You're absolutely right. At the time I left that post, my cousin was going through a lot to do with Heroine because of weed (he blamed weed fr his own benefit), so I was strongly against it because I thought if you take it, you'll eventually want a stronger high no matter what. I no longer think of weed as a bad thing because I learned that my cousin was just blaming something else instead of his stupid self. my cousin's doing fine and is smoking weed. I support it now. I think I'm going to edit that post..
