It is one of the most difficult things to get off of. Even with professional help. Either get help from an outside source, or not.

The only advice I could give, is try to wean yourself off of it and be prepared for a battle. The detox from it is the worse, from what I've heard.

You don't know what people go through. Some of us (especially on this fourm) didn't have a childhood. Don't tell people to go have something that might not be possible for them to have.

As for your crack addiction, you can come off the hard way. Run out of money, lock yourself in your room with the strongest non-addictive painkillers you can get, a box set of your favorite tv show, lots of tums, 10 boxes of tissues and a friend to physically restrain you if needed. Pull your blankets over your head and get ready for the worst crash of your life.

Or check yourself into a hospital or residential rehab and get over the withdrawal with medical professionals.

As someone who deals with dope (on the other end of the spectrum) addiction, the only time you will be able to stop is when YOU want to. No one else will be able to convince you otherwise until you want to. I know it's hard to do but it's the only way. Otherwise, right when you think that people are pleased with your progression, you will end right back up on drugs. I know from experience so please trust me. Just think in your head for a night, what life YOU want to be living for yourself. And things will clear up for you

Good luck :)

ive heard that stuff is really bad. and depending on your age and weight, health, etc it can be deadly even your first time. Also when you get older, u will have to tell people you've done crack before...which isn't cool or hot...so I would consider some sparkling grape juice, a red bull or something else to take besides that crazy trashesque mess. =)

That's some nasty stuff. You should see a professional to help you get off it. It can be deadly if you mess up. In the mean time, try not to do any until you get a pro involved. I know its hard, but you just gotta push a little bit harder, then you'll be free!!

You can't just magically stop. Even withdrawal can be deadly. You won't have to tell people you've done crack before, where did you get that?

He's not even 10% done. Most of the battle is withdrawal. It's more like 10%, he's 10% drug free by admitting it.

Well, the good news is that you've found out you have a problem, and you need to do something about it. You can't just give up in one day, you just need to slowly withdraw from it. Find a support group near you, it'll really help to have others in your situation with you.

What?
So, if I was on some class A drug and I say "Wow I sure do love doing this drug!", that means I'm magically 10% drug free?

Ok this advice is coming from someone was addicted to crack/cocaine for about a year. It is some very hard stuff to get off of, the withdrawals are painful and basically control your life. You can get off of it one of 2 ways. Lock yourself in your room with a lot of painkillers for months and become a mess because of how much you are basically suffering inside, Or you can go a seek help in rehab. if I were you I would choose rehab, for me it took 6 months to finally be over my addiction, it took months of horrible pain, and a lot of crying and unfortunately some cutting was involved, it was the worse 6 months of my life. Don't put yourself through that go get yourself checked into rehab. that is if you want help.

The other guy said he was half way through by just admitting he has a problem, and I said he's more like 10% through by admitting he has a problem

From what I've heard cocaine is an extremely addictive drug. Maybe try to find some rehab centers near you and check yourself in?

This may seem crazy, but... Most people don't have $30,000 laying around for 3 months. It's not like its a free service
