View Full Version : The Long Road

Texas warrior

The road is long, the road is hard.
I have rode it many time and come away unmarred.
Through the forest dark, through the mountains stark.
I have traveled far across it to make my mark.

Every time back and forth, I ride to prove my worth.
Against my foes I do not yield.
With sword and shield of valor I take the field.
In the name of freedom I was sent, for the name of freedom I will never relent!

And when I stand I journeys end, I thank god that I may ride again.
And when next I make my charge, I know with force and valor I am in charge.
The road may free me, or the road may slay me.
But in the end it's never going to stop me, my soul will ride on, for all of infinity.

I want to know what people think this poem is about, what do you think I am talking about?
