On the About Google Chrome page, I see this:
Update failed (error: 3)An error occurred while checking for updates: Update check failed to start (error code 3: 0x80040154).
After some searching, I found this, explaining the error: http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=111996
I checked to make sure Chrome wasn't running as administrator. It never was...I was always running it as a normal user...so I don't know why the error is happening at all.
I'm reluctant to reinstall Chrome and am hoping there's a way to fix this without having to do such a thing.
