I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but recently I've been having recurrent dreams of slipping on ice or being hit by a car and becoming paralyzed. I know none of you are doctors, but any ideas on why? I think it has to do with the stupid idea that I'm not loved enough (which isn't true) and that people will love me more if I'm hurt.

Enjoy it. Relish in it. I actually just explained this to someone earlier today; it means that you had a traumatic experience that prompted your brain to replay a softer version of that to compensate for obliterating the memory of that traumatic experience. By having this dream, your body is instructed to strengthen itself and recover to allow for maximum revitalization.

I haven't ever had a traumatic experience before, though. At least not at this level.

Why not look up the dream means? Go to the library and look for a book on dreams and the meanings behind them. Maybe your dreaming about something in the future? We all dream of death and injuries. The good part is when it's over!
